A great paranormal fantasy adventure book. ★★★★★

Witch sisters, Lacey and Val, head out to retrieve the troublesome runaway daughter of a coven member. She’s hiding out with one of the largest and most menacing werewolf packs, and she doesn’t want to be found! The werewolves’ alpha is one of the strongest and most powerful leaders around. No one dares to challenge him -ever! These witches are about to meet him and the pack head-on and they’ll need all their magic powers to survive. The sisters find themselves right in the middle of the pack's full moon run, when everyone changes into something furry with teeth. You never know what you’ll find coming through the trees. What have these brave witchy sisters gotten themselves into?

This genre is not normally my kind of thing...however: If you're intrigued by the magical witchy dark side of fantasy, try this wild and twisty adventure with the McGregor sisters. This is apparently Ms. Ferguson's first stab, and it's not a bad romp for a debut novel. Ferguson's powers for painting visual images in the mind of the reader is perhaps her strongest aspect. I found this a well-paced adventure, with enough suspense to keep me turning the pages. Follow the Sisters through a world filled with well thought-out and realized characters who guide them through a week (or so) of bewitching episodes as they try to save a immature wayward witch from werewolves.

I see this as an ideal read for bright females (young and not-so) readers, whether they're familiar with this genre or not.
